8. Song Requests Matter

You might think it's hard to take song requests when you're performing in arenas that routinely hold anywhere from 50,000 to 100,000 people but Bruce does it every single show. For the last few years fans have been encouraged to bring signs to Bruce concerts with the name of the song(s) they want him to play. After the first few songs of the set Bruce will dive into the crowd and pick out the best ones before playing a handful of them. This has resulted in Bruce playing many obscure songs and songs that have never been played live. Fans can get creative with it and Bruce always looks impressed by the artwork and by what the fans want to hear. But it's not just songs fans can request: signs have brought to shows asking for hugs, kisses, selfies and even the opportunity to dance on stage with the man himself. Bruce usually complies, although we're not sure if he kept the right testicle of the man who made the sign in the picture above.
