KISS, and Gene Simmons in particular, are notorious for... Well... Bending the truth somewhat. Real fans are usually in on the joke, but a lot of headline-desperate media outlets fail to see through their falsehoods and often report them as facts. As just a couple of examples, Gene Simmons claims to have recorded a song with Bob Dylan and says he turned down the lead role in the movie Flashdance... Both of those stories could, of course, be true - but given the band's penchant for pranks and dark humour, it's more likely that Gene was smirking inwardly when he first announced those statements. Especially given that no evidence has ever surfaced to support either story...
