A band is only as good as its videos, really. If they're known for average, boring live performance clips, they're probably not very artistically inventive. In Stone Sour's case, they have some of the most inventive videos around. They are always aesthetically interesting, for starters. With its kaleidoscopic zoom effect, Sillyworld is like a better version of The White Stripes' Seven Nation Army. Bother features an ageing Corey staring at himself, like a creepy Dorian Gray. Through Glass has Corey looking at cardboard cut-out celebrities, before being joined by Roy, Jim, Josh and Shawn for the anthemic conclusion. 30/30-150 is marked by a terrifyingly psychedelic use of neon numbers, Say You'll Haunt Me uses ethereal, ghostly effects, and the slow-motion flame effect of Hesitate is just stunning. Stone Sour's visual identity is clearly hugely important to them, and fans always know to look out for their next unpredictable video with genuine excitement.
