11. Brian Eno Didn't Make Them Good
Talking Heads are equally amazing with or without Brian Eno around, just like other Eno-collaborators Roxy Music and David Bowie. Eno is a fantastic producer and a wonderful musician, but there’s this myth about Eno that every artist he touches is magically transformed for the better.
Obviously the three Talking Heads/Eno albums are all incredible. But if you listen to “77,” “Speaking in Tongues,” or “True Stories” you’ll know Talking Heads are just as good on their own.
