12. Death Angel - "Hatred United/United Hate"
It's very rare for a band to create their best album 30 years into their career, but that is precisely what Death Angel did in 2016. At least the greatest thing they've done since 1991's Act III, The Evil Divide was an unpredictable and energised riff-fest that peaks at the singles "Lost" and "Hatred United/United Hate".
While the former was a more sombre and heart-felt entry, "Hatred United..." is a blood-boiling thrasher worthy of Death Angel's homeland of the San Francisco Bay Area. Beginning with a clean yet foreboding intro, the energy soon hits overdrive as the primal beats and distorted chugging kick in, giving way to an unchained brilliance that doesn't stop until the song comes to a blistering halt.
