A legendary live recording if ever there was one; At Folsom Prison by The Man in Black, Johnny Cash. Cash's fascination with prisons went back to 1953, where he saw documentary based on Folsom Prison, which then spawned his 1955 hit 'Folsom Prison Blues'. Despite countless invitations by inmates, it would take until 1968 for Cash to perform at Folsom.

During the concert,Cash performed country and blues favourites and several of his own hits, giving them the Cash touch with his instantly recognisable, booming tone. What makes the album so fascinating however, is the crowd. It's the thought that dawns on you at some point; what kind of men are amongst that crowd?

What's even more incredible is the respect and admiration they have for Cash. Laughing and whooping at every opportunity, you have to ask yourself; is there any other artist who could win them over like Cash? Probably not. That's what makes At Folsom Prison the album it is.
