20 Best Metal Albums Of 2017 (So Far)

8. Creeper - Eternity, In Your Arms

We're probably stretching by calling Creeper's debut full-length a "metal" record, but that doesn't stop it from being ridiculously good.

Gorgeously melodic, delightfully Gothic, undeniably punk and laden with hard rock riffs, Eternity, In Your Arms may be a short experience, but that just means the listener has more time to blast it out on repeat again and again.

It's difficult to pick out individual highlights from this record, as every track stands out from the other expertly. "Misery" is different to "Hiding with Boys", which is also totally different "Black Rain", and so on and so on.

Add on top of it a band that clearly takes visual and thematic influences from the Black Parade era of My Chemical Romance, and you have a delicious punk/Goth/heavy journey in Eternity, In Your Arms.
