20 Greatest Hip Hop Groups Of All Time

1. Wu-Tang Clan

When the Wu-Tang Clan came out with Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) in 1993, it's safe to say that the world wasn't ready for the Staten Island representatives. Their entire style was raw, their lyrics were witty and violent and they were giving hip hop fans something they'd never seen before. Since then, the group have continued to infuse incredible lyricism with a martial arts vibe and create a plethora of classic tracks that - unlike many hip hop songs - stand the test of time. Not only have the group created magnificent albums together, they've also contributed to the hip hop world with their solo albums too, something many rap groups can say they've been able to do. From RZA's masterful production techniques, Ghostface Killah's raspy, yet entrancing voice all the way to the sheer lunacy that ODB brought to the table, the Wu-Tang Clan were, and still are, the best group to have done it.
