Considered to be one of the most important hip hop groups of all time, Outkast's second album ATLiens really showcased their skills as MC's and artists. Sure, everyone looks at Stankonia as their breakthrough record because it had Bombs over Baghdad and Ms. Jackson, but it's on ATLiens where their strange, yet powerful lyrics meshed perfectly with the beats they were using. The south has always been the red headed step child of the rap game due to their lack of perceived lyricism. However, Andre 3000 and Big Boi really proved that there are guys from there who can rap well and go bar-for-bar with anyone in the east or west. Producers Organized Noise and Earthtone Ideas deserve a lot of praise for their work on this album too as their production played a huge part in making this album as good as is.
