10. Jay-Z I Cant Get Wit That
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSgeidV4LSY If youve seen the movie Streets Is Watching then you should probably be familiar with this song. After the film is over we get to see a few videos from Jay before he made it big time. Most notable: I Cant Get Wit That. The video for the song was shot before Roc-A-Fella had a distribution deal and they were still paying for videos out of pocket. The low-budget of the song and video are evident. However, thats part of the charm. It takes you back to a much more trouble-free and simpler time. A time where wearing Timbs and jean shorts with a jersey was a cool thing to do. 9. Jay-Z HOVA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8mkOlXULn4 Before DJ Envy was hosting The Breakfast Club on 105.1 with Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God he was a pretty big deal. Not only did he release what felt like an infinite amount of classic mixtapes he actually released an album as well back in 2003. For some reason not many people remember this project (ask one of your friends to name a song off of this album and leave the results in the comment section). Its actually sad that this album has been forgotten as it had quite a few noteworthy tracks. Case in point: the opening of the album features Jay-Z rhyming over an instrumental that sounds like superhero music as he proclaims "Her-oin hero, do any thing for dinero. Like Joe Pesci, Hov' is so deadly.
