20 Most Controversial Songs Of All Time

8. Anti Nowhere League - So What?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6MlrPESdDI The Anti Nowhere League created a punk rock monster when they unleashed So What! and its filthy content onto an unsuspecting public in 1981. Released as a B-Side to the band's single 'Streets of London', the song is apparently based on a conversation the band overheard regarding two men's outlandish behaviour and talk of bravado; an example of our compulsion to try and outdo each other. Anti Nowhere League filled their song with such magnificently obscene lyrical content, including family friendly topics such as bestiality, that the police, under the Obscene Publications Act, eventually intervened. With lyrics such as 'Ive f*cked a schoolgirls t*at' it could be argued that they were correct to do so!

I love Heavy Metal, and generally anything that involves a guitar and loud noises, so I figured it was about time I put all the useless information in my head to good use and start writing a few things. Most of the time I'll be writing nonsense but occasionally I may surprise myself and appear half-way knowledgable.....but you can be the judge of that. Thanks for your fleeting attention!
