https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFz678yh_6U Shock Rockers, W.A.S.P hit the ground running in the controversy stakes when Animal (F*ck like a Beast) was pulled from their debut album by an over zealous record company bowing to the pressure of the PRMC. The Parents Music Resource Centre labeled the song as one of its 'Filthy Fifteen' (a list of songs which the group found morally objectionable) and Capitol Records, fearing a backlash, deleted the song from the track list and it was only reinstated when the album was reissued in 1998. The track remains controversial but primarily due to Blackie Lawless, lead singer and bassist for W.A.S.P, claiming that the song will never again be played live due to his religious beliefs. It comes to something when the composer is offended by his own song!
I love Heavy Metal, and generally anything that involves a guitar and loud noises, so I figured it was about time I put all the useless information in my head to good use and start writing a few things. Most of the time I'll be writing nonsense but occasionally I may surprise myself and appear half-way knowledgable.....but you can be the judge of that. Thanks for your fleeting attention!
