20 Songs Which Surprisingly Never Made It To No.1 In The UK Charts
8. Here Comes The Sun - The Beatles
Actual Chart Peak: No.58
The Beatles were ‘bigger than Jesus’ and have firmly left their mark in pop culture. Because of their major impact within the entertainment industry, their music continues to be enjoyed and beloved to this day. Since they were so popular, the band had an impressive seventeen number one singles within the UK.
Some of their other songs were never released as a single which is why their chart performance didn’t do so well. A good example of this is Here Comes The Sun – a light and breezy tune which is often played during the summer season. The Beatles never released the track on a single in Britain, until new rules were implemented for the UK singles chart, which allowed any song to enter the charts based on sale downloads.
However, this meant Here Comes The Sun didn’t make it anywhere near the top ten and only positioned at number fifty-eight in 2012.
