Adele has only grown in popularity and fame ever since her debut album ’Adele 19’. People loved her music for its emotional lyrics and soulful vocals. Fans have grown to love her as a person too, because of her infectious personality in every interview and television appearance. She is nothing short of a national treasure.

However, Adele has only had two number one singles in the UK and it took a surprisingly long time to achieve the first one. It’s (somewhat) understandable how none of the singles from ‘Adele 19’ made it to the top spot because it was her debut album. But Rolling in the Deep, the lead single of ‘Adele 21’, only reached second place on the charts, even though the artist was in full throttle in her music career.

However, she finally attained her long overdue number one single with her following song Someone Like You, which didn’t budge from the top spot for an impressive four weeks.
