20 Things You Didn't Know About BTS

19. Actual Musicians

Members of manufactured bands, and especially boy bands, are known across the world for spending a lot of time working on their look and learning dance moves while others actually do the work on the music they present. These professional songwriters and producers work on the next hit single with an almost cynical approach, and that's as true on the K-pop scene as it is anywhere else in the world.

BTS took a different approach. Members of the band have been closely involved in their work, having a hand in producing almost every song in their content library. Passionate about composition and with a collective interest in exploring deeper concepts and meaningful ideas in their music, at least one member of the band has been involved in composing, writing, and editing from day one.

While the last accessible count was in 2018, by that time RM held the copyright for 105 songs, J-Hope had 77 songs in his name, and Suga was just behind with 75. At that time, other members of the group were just starting to get involved in the songwriting sessions, so who knows how many copyrights are held by the band now.

After hearing that you are what you eat, Mik took a good hard look at his diet and realised he might just be a szechuan spare rib alongside prawn fried rice.
