20 Universally-Hated Songs That Are Actually Technically Very Good

13. Guns N' Roses - November Rain

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SbUC-UaAxE When Sweet Child O' Mine single handedly raised GnR from the level of "promising new rock act" to "stadium filling megastars", it could be very much expected that the band would try and replicate the success of their monster hit power ballad. Roll on the early 90s, years of recording and an ambitious double album in Use Your Illusion - the power ballad returned and what the world was given was November Rain. It's considered a classic by some, but others see it as Axl Rose feeding his ego with overblown production, lyrics that don't really make that much sense and more piano than a band who wrote Mr. Brownstone should ever need. However, the song redeems its languid qualities simply for that guitar solo at the end, which has Slash proving why he is, and always will be, the consummate guitar hero.
