7. Okilly Dokilly
The first and only Nedal band in existence, Okilly Dokilly is exactly what you think it is: quotes from The Simpsons' Ned Flanders put on top of heavy metal. And it is glorious!
The Ned-dressed quartet remain unsigned, having released their debut (ingeniously named Howdilly Doodilly) independently in 2016, but built a huge amount of traction online thanks to their zany concept, receiving coverage from a huge number of metal webzines.
As fun as Okilly Dokilly is, it's worth saying that they are not the most progressive band: their tracks are usually formed of one or two alternating riffs with repeated lyrics that are usually only a line or two long.
But at least they don't beat about the bush, right?
