20 Unsigned Metal Bands Everyone Needs To Hear

2. Ramage, Inc.

A progressive quartet that hails from the beating heart of Scotland, Ramage, Inc. is an awe-inspiring flurry of Devin Townsend Project-esque harmonies and low, hard-hitting riffs.

And even though the experimental combo of frontman Bryan Ramage, bassist Marcin Buczek, guitarist Allan "Hef" Forsyth and drummer Paul "Hammy" Hameed can lay out deep shreds to compete with the likes of bands such as TesseracT, they're at their best when they're providing sombre melodies and mind-bending dream rock instrumentations.

Cuts like "Within Circles" and "Break Out" (both of which come straight off Ramage, Inc.'s 2015 Earth Shaker album) are eclectic and accessible for any kind of music fan. Meanwhile, lengthier entries like "So Far Away" and the ten-minute epic "Loss" will work die-hard prog metal fanatics into a head-spin.

Versatile, dynamic and unstoppable when on-stage (and just all-round great people), Ramage, Inc. needs some mainstream attention and needs it now. And who knows, with a third album set to drop in the second half of 2017, they may just get that in the very near-future.
