So last year I made my first appearance at
2000trees festival; not in any sort of professional capacity but as that of the casual festival goer. Ill leave it to your own imaginations as to how that went and what that entailed, whilst saving your eyes from the truly scarring images of the state I left it in. Anyhow, I bring it up not just for one that it was a great festival line-up, atmosphere, crowd, fun, but for two because at the end of this summer the organisers of
2000trees, now having established
2000trees as an award winning and steadily growing live event, are heading on a new venture with
ArcTanGent festival. Not to fear
2000trees fans, that is still going ahead, but this is no mere dalliance in a side-project of a festival this is excursion is the real deal. Having recently announced their second headliners, and numerous extra bands added to the bill, its clear that
ArcTanGents debut festival is going to be the go to festival for fans of music of the more underground and alternative independent persuasion. Just look at the headliners

Fuck Buttons are a rare entity live, but an immersively, impressive audio beast and with connection to
Bristol, having been formed and basing themselves there, their headline slot is likely to be quite the homecoming.
65daysofstatic are an always impressive live act as well as on record, and having headlined last years
2000trees they were keen to work with its organisers again. So says
