5. Loving Bands You'd Never Usually Listen To Because The Guitar Work Is Awesome
Chances are, as you get older, youll grow out of the bands that first made you fall in love with the guitar. The majority of us probably had some form of incredibly angst-driven punk or metal as our gateway drug into guitaring, and have likely moved onto bigger and better things now (unless your music taste was pretty mature when you were young, in which case, well done). However there will always be a few bands who you will always hold onto, if not for nostalgia, then because their musicianship is finger-meltingly stylish. Some people will express confusion when you enthuse about Synyster Gates or Brent Hinds, especially if you're more of a Taylor Swift kind of person now, but they just dont understand the utter joy of duelling solos.
