14. When People Can Play Three Chords And Think That's It
Its those times when people who think theyre being "authentic" say things like I just play three chords and the truth! Those people need to burn in the depths of music hell as they perpetuate the image of the guitarist as a half-arsed musician. Obviously you need more than three chords to be able to say you can play the guitar. Being able to play Chopsticks doesnt mean youre a pianist, and knowing one drum pattern does not a drummer make. Even the most rudimentary of songs usually have a four chord sequence anyway, so three chords and the truth is not right, and never will be.
