A great innovator, not only on the signature style of country guitar playing, but also the rock style, Burton's career is a triumph of technique: which is perhaps why his name isn't as universally known as it should be.

But you don't get to lead Elvis' band without being supremely talented, and his legacy exists in all of the iconic tracks he played such a key part of.
