A triumph of simplicity, Clapton is the most casual of all geniuses, effortlessly memorable and an ultimate showman without any of the ostentatious flourishes and an insatiable hunger to play and share music.

And though some will say he changed his style completely after Cream, his technique and ability remained full frontal and irresistible, and he is still the refined, devilishly precise player he always was.
