3. I Am The Avalanche Holy F*** (NSFW)
http://youtu.be/9PiOoAGFd_s You can't have a punk rock breakup song without an expletive in the title, and that little intro screams a nod to The Sex Pistols through its feedback, crescendo, building drums, and 'check, check' intro vocals. This son though, is as much a bitter look back at the end of a relationship but also an assertion that things are on the up, and you know what, things may even have improved. At the very least, they're improving. Straight to the point, no messing, 'I'm alone for the first time in five years/holy f***, things have changed/I'm happy to see you can live without me.' As soon as that's released though, we're told how he's fixed his messed up life, and how he's going to focus on the important, if mundane things, like paying rent and releasing a record no one will ever forget. It's broken, but getting fixed, even if; 'Change is something I accept/but I can't accept a stranger in you so please make this a dream.' 2. Finch Without You Here
http://youtu.be/RytizSphckQ A bit of heart on your sleeve, straight to the point emo/post-hardcore for all those oldsters who bought this album when it first came around and started feelings about stuff, and stuff about things, and things about feels. Lyrically the song is split into two parts; that of the male with his storm of pathetic fallacy happening all around him to match his emotions he waits, unable to wake, waiting to hear from her. However, she at home stares at her own reflection, swearing that she will be strong, and she will end this one way or another. Our male's voice can't work out who was wrong or right, and much with Pictures of You stares at her photo, but this time to wonder if she remains the same. They both together exclaim 'it's over now'. Though not before she tells herself one more time she'll be strong.
