It may seem a long time away but before we know it the time to go out into a field and brace the elements in the name of a good time will be upon us. Purchasing a tent that will ultimately have a very short lifespan, and loading up on alcoholic beverages that will weigh you down no end on your way in but are essential nonetheless - it is one of the best times of the year: festival season. And 2013 is shaping up to be a strong year for British festivals. Despite some disappointing act announcements so far, there are still many reasons to be excited. With the return of Glastonbury after a year out and the 20th anniversary of Scotland's biggest music festival, this summer is looking convincing. There is a great number of great British music festivals but which are going to be the biggest and most exciting in 2013? We've taken a look at some of the ones that are looking commendable.
4. Creamfields (Cheshire, England 23rd - 25th August)
The fact that Creamfields is a dance festival means that it must stick to the same genre however it does not mean it is inflexible. There is a wide array of sub genres of dance music. And Creamfields seems to get it right every time. Almost all of the big names and newcomers of dance have graced the Northern English festival in recent years. Some of the notable recent headliners include Deadmau5, Avicii, Guetta and Tiesto. Every type of dance music is catered for to the festival goers. From Trance acts such as Above & Beyond to Dubstep with Skrillex. The festival never fails to disappoint its loyal following and that's why it will be one of this summer's biggest. Creamfields also has a point to prove. Last year the festival had to be abandoned due to poor weather conditions which was no doubt disheartening for all concerned. So this year the organizers will surely be determined to pull of all the stops to make up for last year's disappoint. The line-up for this year is yet be announced but it is certain that the festival will emulate the successes of the past few years.
