1. You Are There - Mono
http://youtu.be/4RkZttZHFZU If the classical-inspired, string-laden melancholic noodlings of A Heart Has Asked For The Pleasure dont move you to tears then you really are living up to the stereotype of classic rock fans being stuck in the past. You Are There, the fourth studio offering from Japanese post-rockers Mono tread similar ground to Citay, but aren't nearly as carefree. On You Are There, the guitars wail, sob and whisper a world of emotion that any multi-octave singer can radiate. Of course you could say that about pretty much all of Monos output, but You Are There provides the perfect platform for anyone whos new to either this band or the concept of post-rock. You Are There is as ambitious as it is accessible, boasting a gorgeous fusion of classical and rock. What did you make of this list? Are there any more albums you'd like to recommend to classic rock nuts? Let us know in the comments section below!
