2. Foals - Inhaler
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJ_PMvjmC6M Now I'll admit, I had never even heard of Foals until this year, upon the release of their third album 'Holy Fire'. But it's a cracker. Leading the pack is trailer single 'Inhaler', a gritty, heavy anthem destined for the stadiums. The song starts off slow, gathering momentum over a fluid bridge that in turn leads in to a powerful and aggressive chorus. It's a peach. It may not feature the poppy crossover appeal of follow up single 'My Number', but that doesn't mean that 'Inhaler' should be disregarded. Not at all. It's a solid track that strongly features the vocals of frontman Yannis Philippakis. And that breakdown in the chorus is magical.
