5 Song Remakes That Were Better Than the Originals

3. "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" - Carole King

Original by: The Shirelles http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8KlYc0xG80 Admittedly, this is an odd choice on my list because Carole King actually wrote the original for the doo-wop girl group The Shirelles; she just didn't perform it until her multiplatinum (now certified diamond) solo album "Tapestry." Again, the song was slowed down to a soft ballad, aided by King's gentle piano chords and Joni Mitchell's and James Taylor's background harmony, but here, her plaintive vocals almost sound like they're saying, "This is the way you were supposed to sing my song!" She was right.
