5 Times Metallica Were The Best Band In The World (& 5 Times They Were The Worst)

7. BEST: All Within My Hands Foundation

Though it is named after one of the tracks on the vain and ineffectual St. Anger album, the foundation is anything but.

The All Within My Hands Foundation is a community outreach charitable organisation established by Metallica in 2017. The foundation engages in a wide range of areas, from straightforward fundraising to supporting food banks to providing scholarships.

Focusing on tackling hunger, workforce education and the provision of local services, Metallica have used their global reach to both donate their own money and connect their fans with the needy around the world, all underpinned by an annual day of service designed to kickstart and build lasting support structures.

As part of the foundation's efforts, the Metallica Scholars Initiative has also provided funding for community colleges designed to help support students training to enter the American workforce, expanding from ten schools in 2019 to 15 in 2020, and securing $1.5 million in grants.
