Straight out of Harlem 20 year old rapper Mase (Mason Betha) managed to grab the attention of Puff Daddy at an industry party and got signed almost instantly. Dubbed Daddys protégé, Mase has been featured on several Bad Boy productions including 112s remix of Only You, Mariah Careys Honey and Notorious B.I.Gs Mo Money Mo Problems. Whats special about Mase? His monotonic rhyming style and he speaks in a manner wheres its real street but also real easy to understand like LL Cool J according to Deric D-Dot Angelettie co-producer of single Feel So Good (Rolling Stone, February 5, 1998). His debut album Harlem World went platinum in the first month of sale. The singles from the album Feel So Good and What You Want performed well on the Billboard charts Mase is hopping on everyones remix and is quickly proving to everybody why Puffy chose him as his hottest new artist.
