1. Missy Elliott
Missy Misdemeanour Elliott has been shaking up the charts with her album Supa Dupa Fly released in July last year. Like Puff Daddy Missy made her start producing and writing tracks for Aaliyahs 1996 LP One In A Million with Timbaland they co-wrote and produced nine of the songs on the album. Supa Dupa Fly was produced by Timbaland it is obvious Missy and Timbo have great musical chemistry in the studio given the chart success of the singles from her LP The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly), Sock It To Me and Beep Me 911. Missy Elliotts unique sound has been described as futuristic and ground breaking. It is almost unfair how talented this female rapper, songwriter and producer is Missy will have a lasting impact on 90s hip hop and R&B.
