18. Klaxons - Myths Of The Near Future

Of all the niche sub-genres which failed to survive the 2000s, nu rave was perhaps the most surprising demise. Gaining immense popularity in an incredibly short space of time, the unique blend of frantic dance-pop and guitar seemed destined to play a far more influential role than it did. Despite its short life, it must be considered a defining sound of the decade, especially with a band as imaginative and raucous as Klaxons leading from the front.
