7 Surprisingly Inappropriate Disney Lyrics

6. Be Prepared - The Lion King

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zl8gDjaHWWA The first Lion King song to feature on this list, Be Prepared focuses on Scar's plans to kill his brother and assume control of the Pride in his place. If having fratricide and regicide as central themes to the song weren't bad enough, Scar's singing is accompanied by some pretty dark imagery, including an army goose-stepping Hyenas. The truly disturbing lyrics, though, come in a reprise that was deleted from the original film. As Scar starts to exert his dominance over the Pride, he begins looking for a mate. And who better than Nala, Simba's betrothed? Yep, Scar decides that framing his nephew for murder isn't enough, and now he wants to bang his girlfriend as well. The sterling lyrics found in the song include gems such as My cylinder's firing with fervor, and you, my sweet thing, fit the part. And the equally disturbing Be prepared for a stunning proposal,That power and beauty should bond. When Nala resists Scar's advances, he tells her that he "always gets what he wants." In addition to making almost everyone who hears it deeply uncomfortable, the reprise fills in a lot of information that was missing from the final cut, in particular Nala's largely unexplained appearance in the jungle. So although the reprise was eventually deemed too dark for children and deleted from the film, it actually ties together many plot threads in the film.

With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
