8 Amazing Rock Bands From The 2000s You Forgot Even Existed
8. The All-American Rejects
The All-American Rejects surfaced at the beginning of the 2000s with a fantastic self-titled studio debut, released in 2003 and spawning the fantastic single Swing, Swing. It wasn't until their second album Move Along, however, that the band really took off, dropping songs like Move Along, Dirty Little Secret and It Ends Tonight. The All-American Rejects are a band that was very much lumped into the mid-2000s emo resurgence, though they lacked the dark, moody aesthetic that most of those bands dabbled in, nor did they court much theatricality. It's true their songs were frequently emotional, but they were also frequently light-hearted (at the very least their delivery was). From song to song The All-American Rejects gently rode the line between alt-rock and pop-rock, selling over ten million albums worldwide. After 2003's Move Along the band released When The World Comes Down in 2008, which was home to the extremely popular single Gives You Hell. 2012's Kids In The Street, however, flew largely under the radar, leading to many rock fans believing the band had simply stopped making music. In actuality, they released a new single in 2015 called There's A Place, and have hinted at the possibility of a fifth studio album.
