Baby Bottle Pop kind of perfectly describes the genre of music the Jonas Brothers fall within, as the sibling trio were for a time the official face of the candy brand. While Nick, Paul, and Kevin Jonas have since thrown in the Jonas logo-emblazoned towel - perhaps upon the realisation that they are each 21, 24, and 26 years-old respectively - their musical career consisted entirely of making music on behalf of the Disney Channel, reaching the sort of success few find so young (if ever at all). Their proclivity for selling out is a given. Even while rock critics like Rolling Stone's resident stoner Rob Sheffield cheered on their juvenile pop-rock sound, they were an empty vessel at its finest. No greater source of proof is in their 2007 'Invasion' tour, ad campaign, and this music video spin-off sponsored by none other than the literally-infantile Baby Bottle Pop. While surely a lifetime supply of powdered sugar is any kid's dream-come-true, it is a real low mark for any band half-heartedly trying to be taken seriously. True story: Nick Jonas collaborated with members of Prince's old backing band for his 2010 solo album Who I Am. While the reasons cited for the band's break-up include phrases like "creative differences" and "inner tension," what it ultimately comes down to is a craving for something substantial and enduring; Baby Bottle Pop are just empty calories.
