9. Lorde Isn't Actually A Teenager

Lorde is a New Zealand singer/songwriter who has achieved amazing success since the release of her 2013 album Pure Heroine (which spawned the critically acclaimed single Royals). One of Lorde's appealing qualities is her deep, soulful voice, made all the more impressive by the fact she was only seventeen years old when her studio debut released.

Except, Lorde isn't actually a teenager. At least, that's what many people think is the truth. It's likely this theory spawned from Lorde's more unique aesthetic (read: completely normal aesthetic but unique when compared to most modern, scantily clad pop-stars).
