9 Famous Albums The World Will Never Hear

9. Weezer €“ Songs From The Black Hole

Most Weezer fans would give anything to get their hands on a new track of two recorded by the band back in their early years. The idea of hearing a completely new album, then, is almost too amazing to process...especially when the concept of the record is so damn interesting.

Songs From The Black Hole was recorded as a follow up to the band's 1994 self-titled debut (often referred to as The Blue Album). The album was to be a science-fiction rock opera, intended to express Rivers Cuomo's feelings on the music industry, rock and roll, fame and success.

Songs From The Black Hole was to feature around six major characters and each song was to transition seamlessly into the next, creating the sense of a flowing narrative. Unfortunately, towards the end of the project RIvers deemed the songs too "too whimsical" and scrapped the whole thing.

Despite the album in retrospect being wildly discussed and eagerly lusted after, it's unlikely fans will ever really know how great it might have been.
