9 Greatest Hoaxes In Music

3. Radiohead Wrote A Track About Ketchup

Honestly, this one is so convincing I still can't believe it's not true. Around 2010, a strange thread popped up on the infamous image board 4Chan. The poster purported to be friends with an ex-employee from the music industry, who had given him an unreleased B-side from Radiohead's OK Computer. The post said:

"yeah, it's pretty good, b-side material kinda thing but yeah. ive had it for like 2 years or so now. was supposedly stolen by my friend who used to work for EMI and burned it onto a cd"
Naturally, the song was spread around the internet, and fans went wild, utterly convinced that the recording was genuine. In the end, the song was revealed to be a demo from a Canadian musician named Christopher Stoba, titled Sit Still. Stoba recorded the demo in 2001, but somewhere along the way he gave up on music and opened a bakery. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aspDN0iF8zg
