9 Hidden Details In Beatles Tracks You Never Noticed

1. Hey Jude

Quite an iconic one, this, but also one that is almost impossible to pick up on unless you know it’s there. Hey Jude is, too many, the greatest Beatles song there is, and at the time of writing it has a whopping 240,534,044 listens on Spotify. To put that in perspective, that's roughly the equivalent of everybody in Japan and Ethiopia listening to it once each.

Anyways, back to the matter at hand, just before the three minute mark on the track, Paul McCartney fumbles a chord transition on the ivories ever so slightly about 2.38 in, and drops an F-bomb in frustration. Or, as Lennon put it, “Paul hit a clunker on the piano and said a naughty word”.

And that naughty word is there for us all to hear. It was John who insisted that it be kept in the final mix because he liked the idea that the band would be aware that it was there but nobody else would. Well now they know John, and I told them. Sorry, pal.
