6. Lil Wayne
I know, I know, I know. Rap music is more about "flow" than anything else, so we shouldn't hold emcees to such a high standard when it comes to their ability to carry a tune. But even considering all that, there's only so low you can put the bar for this sort of thing before someone has to start being held accountable. And Lil Wayne has seemingly limboed under that bar for far too long, croaking his way through club bangers and earnest attempts at balladry. (Ever heard "Dear Anne?" No? You should probably keep it that way.) Weezy is, as his nickname suggests, constantly on the verge of gasping for air or breaking out into a full-on snore, depending on the portion of the song he's dragging his vocal cords through.
