You've only to listen to any of the solos played by long-time (now former) guitarist Marty Friedman to witness the blistering technicality of Megadeth's guitar solos.

Take the solo in Lucretia, for example, or the solo in Hangar 18, or Tornado Of Souls (hell, any solo, really). Solos in Megadeth tracks aren't just technically impressive (faster, longer, more frequent...) but they're also just really enjoyable to listen to. That's not to mention Mustaine's own lead guitar work, which played a massive part in establishing Metallica before Kill 'Em All.
