It may be surprising, considering the number of gangsta rap songs that detailed, pretty explicitly, people getting shot and murdered, but there really aren't that many instances of rap music being directly related to real-life killings. Sure, it's talked about in the same vague way that Marilyn Manson's music was associated with the shooting at Columbine, but there's rarely been any concrete connections. That's not to say it never happens. In 1994, two 17-year-olds involved in the killing of a Milwaukee police officer, claimed they planned the "execution style" murder (with the use of a sniper rifle) because certain passages of a 2Pac verse heavily influenced them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIt2bS7OJQY The "trigger man," Curtis Walker, went so far as to say that 2Pac's words kept repeating over and over in his mind the night he shot the officer, that they were "part of his consciousness."
