9 Songs You Didn't Know Are About Being Bisexual
6. Panic At The Disco - "Girls/Girls/Boys"
I am just a villain vying for attention from a girlA girl who can't decide and here's the reason why...Girls love girls and boysAnd love is not a choice
Of all the songs on the list, this one might be the most obvious. But it's worth including if only because lead singer Brendan Urie wears his heart on his sleeve, and the result is a lot more genuine than the aforementioned Katy Perry "anthem." The message of "love is not a choice" (one of the song's most repeated lyrics) is an important one, and sometimes you need to use a hammer and nail to make sure that message sticks.
Urie makes no bones about the song's intent, either, and wanted to write about his own bisexuality to encourage fans to embrace themselves, whatever their sexual preferences may be:
I'd be honoured to call it a bisexual anthem - that's kind of awesome. I feel like it needs to be celebrated, because a lot of times I feel like people are ashamed and they hide it and they might be a little scared to open up about it. Being able to do that is a big step for me.
