We've all had that reaction with an Alter Bridge song - or any great rock song - where it just gets its hooks in deep.

Find the Real had it, Isolation had it, Ties That Bind had it, and now Poison in your Veins absolutely nails the duality of being catchy as hell, technically proficient (the solo will take your head off) and immaculately produced all in one.

It has just the right amount of bounce, guitar riffs tucked away behind vocal lines, pulse-pounding drums and what I'm putting out there as the best chorus on the album. All of which exemplify why Alter Bridge more than deserve their diehard following - one that's powered them through to a fifth album with no holding back.
