The Beatles: Their Top 40 Tracks

31. I Want to Hold Your Hand

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MHkgwA8t-g Writer: Lennon-McCartney Album: Single 'I Want to Hold Your Hand' is a classic poppy Beatles song which helped launch them to international fame. It's also probably one of the best examples of Lennon and McCartney's early writing careers, the two reportedly working fantastically well together. The song is famous for Bob Dylan mistaking the line 'I can't hide' as 'I get high', leading him to believe The Beatles had already dabbled in marijuana. Most importantly though, the song helped kick start the 'British Invasion' of the 60's, helping such acts as The Rolling Stones and The Animals to achieve success.

30. All My Loving

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T098BBuvmjs Writer: Lennon-McCartney (McCartney) Album: 'With The Beatles' The harmonic vocals, the walking bass line, 'All My Loving' is, without a doubt a classic Beatles love song. 'All My Loving' was first released in the UK on 'With The Beatles', but appeared in the U.S. on 'Meet The Beatles!' as well as the group performing the song on their now legendary Ed Sulivan Show performance. With that, 'All My Loving' had it's legacy fixed, and still lives on as a classic to this day.

29. The End

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVn9MjYZ-KU Writer: Lennon-McCarney (McCartney) Album: 'Abbey Road' Reportedly the final song the group recorded together, 'The End' feels like a fitting finale to one of the greatest rock shows ever conceived. Each member brings something to this track; Ringo's drum solo shows off some of the best beats he ever produced, and McCartney's, Harrison's, and Lennon's stream of guitar solos are perfect, with McCartney believing the solos represented the personalities of each player. It's little touches like that that make 'The End' so moving, and such a definitive moment. Please note, this section is about 'The End' from 'Abbey Road', unfortunately I was only able to find the version from 'Anthology 3.'
