Ahead of its release this Monday on the 12th of November, Deftones€™ new album Koi No Yokan is being streamed online for free to allow fans and the curious a full weekend to absorb it before its officially out. This is just an added bonus for me really, as I€™d have been hearing the album Monday anyway when I arrive home for a few days having pre-ordered it to arrive on day of release. On first impressions, under the restriction of a deadline tomorrow insisting itself upon my time and not allowing many plays through, it would appear Deftones are continuing the roll they€™ve been on since their glorious return to form in the shape of Diamond Eyes. The band have been quoted as saying with this album, in comparison to the €˜catching lightning in a bottle€™ recording process of Diamond Eyes they allowed themselves time to play around and experiment. Trust me, it shows from the first play through as the band are audibly stretching their song structures, pushing the grooves and expanding their ethereal atmospheres. http://youtu.be/GIgNBxNvAJg If you don€™t believe me, follow the link and find out for yourself, if you€™re a fan you€™ll be pleased and if you€™re just a curious passerby, then what€™s the harm in having a listen for free? If that€™s still not quite enough to sell it to you, expect to see a review of the album from one of the WhatCulture music team very soon. Personally, I€™m glad I got my tickets to see them in London this coming February for the album€™s tour. There might be some left if you€™re lucky. http://youtu.be/sPO81Fz4s2g
