Every Childish Gambino Single Ranked Worst To Best

The secondary single that hides between the mediocre mediators that came before and after is an invigoratingly fantastic piece of music, in a retrospective resurrection, the reprisal of the showstopping vocals which debuted on the preceding album are vagrant throughout this album but are never fully realised outside of this single track, reinstating Childish Gambino’s case as one of the most multi-faceted musicians we’ve grown to love over the last decade, meanwhile, revitalising the combination of rap/R&B that he famously perfected in another song (which is still yet to come). The rhythmic fluctuation applied to the lyrics, in alliance with the hypnotic beat, create a song that feels like a wholehearted return to form.
Albeit, not a perfect song by any definition, but the implication of Glover’s revival is just as powerful as the underlying story that exists beneath, of which is centred around a psilocybin-fuelled trip with a girl until 21 Savage comes along and abruptly switches the topic of conversation to the immunisation of harassment from U.S. police officers. I’m sure I’ve found myself talking about race a lot more than I expected to in this list (I don't think it's a coincidence either)…but nevertheless this song is an underrated hit that demands the same level of respect as other acclaimed hits in Glover's catalogue, it surprisingly retains a level of expertise, innovation and structural positivism, keeping the fans seething with anticipation, just as it was when Mr.Glover stated his name and made his claim to fame, it's plain to see that he's at the highest heights of his game again.
