Every David Bowie Album Ranked Worst To Best (By Guitar Power)

6. Hunky Dory (1971)

Featuring all-time classics ‘Life On Mars’, ‘Queen Bitch’, ‘Changes’ and ‘Oh You Pretty Things’, it’s a no- brainer that this album should rate highly in the Bowie catalogue. There are still hints of the acoustic folkie Bowie carried through from ‘The Man Who Sold The World’, although they were soon to be expunged on his following album ‘Ziggy Stardust’.

The sonic assault of Ronson's explosive rhythm intro to 'Queen Bitch', and his atmospheric fills on 'Life On Mars' are enough to commend this album to anyone with a love of the guitar as an expressive tool unrivalled by any other instrument.
