Fleetwood Mac Albums Ranked From Worst To Best
7. Say You Will
The last of the legacy left the high notes of previous masterpieces something to be desired as the troublesome twosome of Nicks and Buckingham seemingly hijacked the name of Fleetwood Mac. Say You Will feels more akin to a vanity based bickering project that comes across as more of an overzealous conversation between the two, rather than the once-beating heart of Fleetwood Mac that at this point left fans feeling like it had unintentionally flatlined.
Having said that, the album was not without it's highlights and certainly remains better than some of the groups' more disastrous experiments. Say Goodbye, the titular Say You Will and even the widely underappreciated Silver Girl were all tracks worthy of staking a place in the band's illustrious catalogue.
What really hurts this album though is the lack of Fleetwood Mac legends. As said before, Nicks and Buckingham dominate the album from start to finish and even Mick Fleetwood and John McVie are still around, but without the vocal stylings and songwriting prowess of Christine McVie the album feels like too much of a two dimensional product.
Say You Will is a unique album in the way that it fails to reach the heights of what came before it, but still contains the quality of a respectable swansong. Leaving on neither a bang or whimper, but instead on a rather neutral note.
