Before tackling Kanye's set in earnest, it's worth dwelling upon its most surreal moment. In a desperate bid to cling on to his fading celebrity status, Lee Nelson (alter-ego of comedian Simon Brodkin) somehow slipped past security and tottered onstage as West launched into 'Black Skinhead'. He bounced around for a second or two, visibly flustering the headliner, before being bundled off by security. The incident has already become nothing more than a footnote to one of the most divisive performances in Glastonbury history, but shows that no matter how modern and middle-class the festival becomes, there'll always be room for a touch of anarchy - however lowbrow Nelson's stage invasion may have been.
